This Privacy Policy explains how Visitar Bioucas (João Santos, Local Accommodation, Souto, Portugal) collects, uses, and protects the personal data of guests and visitors to this website, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese law.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the data you provide when making a booking or contacting us through this website, namely: name, e-mail address, phone number, address, billing information, and stay details (dates, number of guests). When a booking is made through partner platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, Agoda, Expedia, HomeToGo, Interhome), this data is transmitted to us by the respective platform. In compliance with the Portuguese legal obligation to register guests with SEF/AIMA, a copy of the identification document of guests over 16 years of age is also collected at check-in.

3. Purpose of Processing

The data is used to: manage and confirm bookings; communicate with you before, during, and after your stay; comply with legal and tax obligations (including mandatory guest registration); process payments; and, when authorized, send informational communications about the accommodation.

4. Data Sharing

The data may be shared with: the booking management system Smoobu and the pricing tool (our technical subcontractors); the booking platforms through which the stay was made; and the competent authorities (SEF/AIMA, Turismo de Portugal, tax authorities), when required by law. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Retention Period

The data is retained for the period necessary to manage the booking and comply with the applicable legal and tax obligations (namely guest registration, which must be retained as required by law), after which it is deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as to object to processing and to request data portability. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at geral@visitarbioucas.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).

7. Cookies

This website may use technical and operational cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the booking system. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
